ASERMON ABOUT THE ANTI-PALAMITE THEOLOGIAN GREGORY AKYNDINOS OF PRILEP
Around 1330, a native from the region of Prilep in Macedonia, (εκ της περεχωρου του Πριλλαπου) named Gregory Akyndinos was involved in the controversy over Hesychasm and Palamism. According to the correspondence of Palamas to John Gabras, Akyndinos was of humble Mysian ie. in the other words Bulgarian or Macedonian Slav origin from Prilep.

Byzantine lead seals found during the archaeological excavations in 2009 at the fortress 'Kale' in Skopje
A number of Byzantine seals wer discovered during the archaeological excavations at the medieval fortress of 'Kale' in Skopje. The eleventh and twelve century seals belongs to the higher officials and higher clergy. They indicate a corespondence of the Byzantine inperial offices with the capital of the Byzantine theme of Bulgaria.
